Hispanas Unidas is a 501 (c ) (3) non-profit organization founded in 1983. The organization, based in San Antonio, Texas implements a serious and viable teen pregnancy and teenage delinquency prevention program for girls ages 8 to 14 years by utilizing a culturally sensitive curriculum, a mentoring and leadership program that includes a prestigious array of prominent community leaders and guest speakers. The program is currently being implemented in low-income, at-risk neighborhoods in San Antonio where we know teen pregnancy, drug abuse and truancy are prevalent.
