Josie L. Teniente, Interim Executive Director
The 2012-2013 school year will be Josie's 3rd school year serving the girls of the Escuelitas program, their families, and our beautiful community. With over 15 years experience serving the Westside community, where she was born and raised, Josie is looking forward to another great year as we move forward to continue to help girls reach their fullest potential. Josie recieved a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management & Administration from Texas A&M University - SCSA - San Antonio in December 2004.
Monica "Moni" E. Avila-Farias, Program Specialist
Monica joined Hispanas Unidas in September 2012. She will be pursuing her degree in Social Work and Mexican-American Studies in the Spring 2013. Moni has experience working in education, social services and program coordinating. Moni is also a life long San Antonio resident who says she is honored to have the privilege of mentoring the future Latina leaders of our community.
